DAILY REFLECTION - 22 MAY 2017 | JUDGES 2:17-19

Post  Jude on Sat 29 Apr 2017, 17:32

17However, they did not listen to their rulers either, but went whoring after other mighty ones, and bowed down to them. They soon turned aside from the way in which their fathers walked, in obeying the commands of יהוה – they did not do so.

18And when יהוה raised up rulers for them, יהוה was with the ruler and saved them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the ruler, for יהוה had compassion on their groaning because of those who oppressed them and crushed them.

19And it came to be, when the ruler was dead, that they would turn back and do more corruptly than their fathers, to go after other mighty ones, to serve them and bow down to them. They did not refrain from their practices and from their stubborn way. JUDGES 2:17-19 Institute for Scripture Research – ISR

17 And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the Lord; but they did not so.

18 And when the Lord raised them up judges, then the Lord was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the Lord because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.

19 And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way.JUDGES 2:17-19 King James Version - KJV

17 But yet they would not obey their Judges for they went a whoring after other gods, and worshipped them, and turned quickly out of the [a]way, wherein their fathers walked, obeying the commandments of the Lord: they did not so.

18 And when the Lord had raised them up Judges, the Lord was with the Judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the Judge (for the Lord had compassion of their groanings, [c]because of them that oppressed them and tormented them.)

19 Yet when the Judge was dead, they returned, and [d]did worse than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them and worship them: they ceased not from their own inventions, nor from their rebellious way. JUDGES 2:17-19 Geneva Bible 1599 - GNV

May Yah bless and keep you ALL safely abiding under the Shadows of His Mighty Wings.  If you have not yet repented, I ask that you repent immediately.  Turn to our Heavenly Father through His Beloved Son Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ).  Please consider doing this immediately, for as we know the world is soon coming to a close.  It is during this time that we will need Yah's full divine protection for what is to be unveiled.  I believe that it was through obedience that Noah had such great faith; this in essence was what saved him and his family from the flood. As a born again Christian (a former Roman Catholic of 46+ years) there is so much to gain in doing so.  My soul is richly blessed by the gems of truth revealed to me by my beloved Heavenly Father, Abba, and I have no regrets repenting of my past ways.  Blessings! ~ Judy Velez

[b]THE PSALMS

1I cry out to יהוה with my voice; I pray to יהוה with my voice.

2I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my distress.

3When my spirit grew faint within me, Then You know my path. In the way in which I walk They have hidden a trap for me.

4Look to the right hand and see, And no one is concerned for me; No refuge remains to me; No one inquires after my being.

5I cried out to You, O יהוה: I said, “You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

6“Listen to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are too strong for me.

7“Bring my being out of prison, To give thanks to Your Name. Let the righteous gather around me, Because You deal kindly with me.” PSALM 142 Institute for Scripture Research - ISR
